Announcement

I am a Counselling Psychologist offering a collaborative and strengths-based approach.  My goal is to help you to navigate challenging times in order to find a more balanced and meaningful way of living.

I can offer assistance with:

  • anxiety (including panic, OCD, phobias and excessive worry)
  • depression
  • addiction and substance-use problems
  • trauma and abuse (including PTSD)
  • relationship and communication difficulties
  • stress/burn-out
  • everyday life problems
  • building self-esteem

Psychology/Therapy Services

I offer warm and practical support to help you better understand your emotions, thoughts and behaviour, to discover and enhance your strengths, and to learn new skills and strategies to overcome the difficulties you face.

While confronting our struggles and challenges can be uncomfortable, these times are also a valuable opportunity to learn more about ourselves.  Therapy can help you to develop the insight and skill you need to work through painful or challenging experiences.  Ultimately, helping you to find ways to live a life with greater flexibility, resilience and purpose.

Psychology/Therapy Approach

I am primarily trained in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT).  I work with you to adapt these evidence-based therapy frameworks to best suit your needs, depending on your own personal values, strengths and the concerns you would like to address.

Background and Experience

I have experience working with adults with a range of mental health difficulties including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma-related difficulties and substance use problems. I also have experience working with everyday life problems, such relationship and communication difficulties, stress, work/life balance and improving self-esteem.

Supervision

I provide supervision for psychologists. My aim in supervision is to help you reflect on your practice in a way that builds confidence and enhances your skill and knowledge in working with your clients.
