Counselling/Therapy Services

I offer a confidential, non-judgemental and safe environment to explore the connections between current difficulties you are facing and your usual ways of coping. We will work as a partnership to understand the underlying reasons for the issues you are having in your life and to find new ways of being towards finding satisfaction and fulfilment in your life.

Clients say they find me really attentive, engaging and empathic. Unlocking the stuck places inside themselves, insight leading bringing with it self-empowerment, being better able to engage with relationships with friends, family and colleagues, all brings them to a place where joy and peace comes back into their lives.

I particularly enjoy working with teenagers. When young people engage with therapy, their recovery can be life changing for them and for their future.

Counselling/Therapy Approach

You will find me to be a warm and welcoming practitioner and I will work passionately to facilitate the work you want to do.

The basis of my therapeutic approach is psychodynamic and relational. I will use different approaches according to your need – Transactional Analysis, Trauma therapy, CBT when required.

Background and Experience

I have worked in Private Practice for over 30 years working with a wide range of psychological issues.

I previously worked for 10 years in a Tertiary setting working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds, managing mental health issues and counselling to aid the students to fulfil their study goals.

Supervision Services

I provide supervision for psychotherapists, counsellors, students, and ACC Registered Sensitive Claims Providers.

You will find me warm, encouraging and affirming. I like to prioritise building a supportive and safe supervisory relationship within which the difficult issues can be explored and your competence developed. I find examining blind spots through the transference and countertransference opens the path to self-discovery and valuable insights into the blocks we have working with our clients.
