Counsellor & Supervisor (not currently taking on new clients)

Steve holds Masters degrees in sociology and in counselling and postgraduate study in a variety of fields including CBT. He has extensive experience working with adults and young people on a range of issues, including grief and loss, anxiety, depression, issues around adjustment/life changes, interpersonal issues to gender and sexuality. He uses evidenced based approaches to support clients wanting explore aspects of their life while raising awareness and building resilience. He’s compassionate and warm with a sense of humour and particularly passionate about supporting LGBTQI+ people.

Steve’s worked in various support, leadership and governance roles at NGOs, PHOs and tertiary institutions in Australia the UK and Aotearoa. He’s a fully registered counsellor and supervisor with NZAC.

Steve is available for counselling and supervision appointments.

Q Fees

- Counselling for Individuals: $150 per 50-60min session (sliding scale / possible funding available for those on low incomes)
- Counselling for Couples: $190 per 60-80min session
- Supervision: $160 per 50-60min session (student rate available)
