Joanna Madsen

Counsellor

My Counselling Approach

I like to work with a person to be who they are and support their goals to be who they want to be. I value that we are both humans, and I like to support a person with their experience and accept their experience. I support someone I work with with tools and resources, as well as having helpful conversations.

Quick Healthy Tips

Check out my YouTube videos for some Quick Healthy Tips that you can use in a variety of situations. These tips come from my experience of working with people as a trained and registered counsellor, and practicing them from my own personal wellbeing journey. They can help to quickly ground, center or change perspective during your day. So feel free to add to your box of wellbeing tools. Enjoy!

Experience

I have been a therapist for over 10 years and have experience with adolescents and young adults in short term and long term counselling relationships. I have experience as a supervisor and as a group supervisor. I also have experience in meditation and somatic body work.
