Hi there! As a counsellor I begin from a relational approach, emphasising the value of every individual I meet and offering them a safe, empathetic space because it is from here, we can freely explore your thoughts, emotions, and challenges. I use a range of therapeutic approaches, working collaboratively with you to align our sessions to your unique needs and hopes.
Central to my practice is a dedication to nurturing authentic connections and empowering you to discover your inherent strengths.Together, we will aim to uncover insights, nurture resilience, and encourage positive growth in your life, allowing you the space to talk freely about whatever has brought you to counselling.
I have a Bachelor of Counselling and I am a Provisional Member of NZCCA and I adhere to the principles outlined in the NZCCA Code of Ethics, ensuring that I receive regular supervision, and cultural supervision, and engage in continuous professional development.
Born and raised in Taranaki, my husband and I have been married 16 years and have two children, and since 2018 are happy to call the sunny Bay of Plenty home. In my working career, I have always been fortunate to be in roles that allow me to work alongside and with people hearing their stories, which I love. Most recently I have worked within agencies that specifically work with those affected by Chronic Illness and Grief and Loss. In my free time, I love walking my dog Milo, drinking good coffee, op shopping and enjoying the company of my family and good friends.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions you have, or to book an initial session.
