Following the successful Practical Alternatives to Self-Harm 101 webinars, we are seeking expressions of interest so we can begin to collate names and offer new dates for a Practical Alternatives to Self-Harm 201 workshop with Diane Clare.
This training offers a more in-depth look into responding effectively to those who are engaging in non-suicidal self-injury and is for (typically) therapists who are providing therapeutic interventions as the main component of their role.
Alternatives to Self-Harm (ASH) is based on the APEX© model – an evidence-based approach designed by Diane Clare on how to respond effectively to those who are engaging in non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI).
Building on the introductory workshop Practical Alternatives to Self-Harm 101 (so those attending workshop 201 must have attended the ASH 101 workshop prior), through interactive discussions and activities, this workshop examines the underlying evidence-based principles of the Alternatives Self Harm approach learned in Workshop 101, and will include experiential tasks including role play to enhance your learning.
NOTE: This training is not allocated a regular scheduled time in the GROW events program as it is contingent on expressions of interest.
This training is also available as a Private in-house training event to organisations whose team members have completed the previous training.
