I offer both short term counselling and longer term psychotherapy for adults.

Our health depends on psychological, social, physical and spiritual wellbeing. I welcome all these aspects into the therapy work. I am a relational psychodynamic therapist and offer a gentle, safe space to work through the issues you want to address. I enjoy supporting clients to discover how to negotiate the challenges and joys of life.

I will support your healing by exploring with you, both your current and past experiences. This is to deepen your knowledge of yourself to become free, and able to choose new ways to live.

Increased self-awareness is often the key to finding life-enhancing coping mechanisms and achieving desired changes. Thus, my interest lies in helping you understand yourself better via gentle, respectful and deep inquiry into your feelings, thoughts, bodily sensations and behaviours. Curiosity about physical sensations occurring during the session helps make traumatic experiences and emotions more accessible and tolerable.

I am experienced working with clients dealing with anxiety, depression, life changes and stresses like relationship issues, identity exploration. I worked with clients with trauma that caused significant somatic symptoms/ sickness. I also worked closely with young adults going through challenges related to loss, grief, and trauma.

I see clients with ADHD and include some couching into work with them to support finding healthier, better functioning in everyday life if needed.

My interest in the topics covered originate both from personal and professional experience. I immigrated from Finland after leaving an unhealthy religious group. Therefore, I personally experienced several issues related to settling into a new life situation and going through major life transitions.
