My experience as a psychologist come from working in a busy Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) practice and private practice; as well as a psychologist in a university setting, and in an integrated and holistic health setting.
I am trained in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), which is a very skills based approach, which focus on teaching you the skills to deal with areas of your life you may struggle with, and with time be able to use these on your own. I am also trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR). I enjoy using mindfulness, breathing retraining and relaxation in my sessions, to enable people to deal with stress, anxiety and adjustment better.
