About Me

I’m Aakriti Malik, Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Internal Family Systems Therapist (Level 1 trained) and Clinical Supervisor in private practice in Auckland. I bring with me 12 years of experience in seeing clients (adults) through a trauma informed lens in India, Malaysia and now New Zealand. My practice sees me primarily working with adults (18-60 years old) who see me for various mental health struggles- trauma and complex trauma being one of the many.

My last two work roles saw me working as a Sole Clinical Psychologist and Middlemore Hospital and Auckland City Hospital in acute inpatient unit.

I welcome you and your many Therapist Parts into this beautiful space. This is my 3rd group supervision offering. The last two cohorts saw registrations close in a week’s time!

Kind words by my Supervisees

Aakriti provides a warm, non- judgemental, safe space, and so I was able to bring my authentic self to the sessions. I love her mastery over the IFS school of thought. Her conviction in this modality is very contagious!”– Shaistha Basheer, 2024 Cohort

I see Aakriti conducting her sessions mostly from Self energy and that is really inspiring.  Her supervision has helped me see me and my client’s parts for who they are not what they are doing, for what they need not how  they are demanding.” Navya Mahajan , 2023 & 2024 cohort

This group is trauma informed and believes in process oriented work. It is explorative, open, genuine and non-judgmental. It not only focuses on case discussions and feedback but everything that a therapist feels inside and outside of the therapy room. It helps in exploring different dimensions of ourselves as a professional. I’m waiting for ma’am to resume the group again.” – Ayushi Kashyap, 2023 & 2024 Cohort
