Kia Ora, I’m Cam, I am a married father of two boys. I live with a physical disability and use a wheelchair and crutches for mobility. I have had to overcome many difficulties in my lifetime. My belief is that engaging in the counselling process within a safe environment can support you to live the life you want and deserve.
Currently I am working at Riccarton High School part time as a guidance counsellor and a reliever at St Andrews College. I have had over 20 years’ experience working with people with disabilities and at-risk youth and adults, including the tertiary education sector. My core values are strongly focused around social justice and advocacy and I am committed to empowering people.
I am friendly and outgoing; no problem is too big or too small. I believe people are the experts in their own lives. I work with teenagers and adults, I will help you create a new perspective with yourself and others, finding unique solutions to your difficulties and personal challenges. My core therapeutic approach is Solution Focused Therapy, I integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Wellness techniques into my practice.

- Postgraduate Certificate in Counselling Studies
- Post Graduate Diploma of Teaching and Learning (Secondary, Christchurch College of Education)
- $120 per hour session with a sliding scale for beneficiaries and students
- Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays by arrangement
