I provide individual counselling since 2010 in Central Auckland (Remuera) and online, in English and in French. I offer both short-term, solution-focused counselling, and long-term psychotherapeutic support.
A Focus on Growth, Change and Empowerment
I use a client-centered and strength-based approach that draws on mindfulness, the body-feelings-mind connection and neuroscience to help clients develop self-understanding, a calm and trusting relationship with themselves, and feel empowered to take positive action in their life.
I work collaboratively to help people identify and maximise the impact of their existing strengths. I also provide professional insights and I draw from the wide range of tools that I have accumulated over my years in practice to provide tailored additional strategies as required.
Some of the areas I specialise in are migration and cultural issues, change and life transitions, relationship issues, problems with communication, grief and loss, self-esteem issues, stress and anxiety, depression.
The Value of Investing in Yourself
Beyond managing the immediate issue that brings a person to counselling, I help clients understand how this issue fits in the wider picture of their life, be aware of the resources they have to manage it and grow additional skills.
When our work ends, clients have a much deeper understanding of themselves and feel confident in their ability to navigate a range of situations successfully.
