I work intuitively, through relationship with my clients. The healing happens within the therapeutic relationship and changes that occur get carried into relationships outside the therapy room. I believe that a lot of healing can happen for people when they have someone being present and bearing witness to their story. I am a Bioenergetic psychotherapist and practice this form of body psychotherapy which helps release chronic muscular tensions and promotes physical and psychological wellbeing. In this way, people can engage in life and relationships more fully.

I am a certified Bioenergetic therapist. Bioenergetic Analysis is a body-centred psychotherapy which helps release chronic muscular tensions, manage emotional fluctuations and expands capacity for intimacy. The therapeutic relationship provides a safe container in which healing can occur. The goal of therapy is to relieve symptoms and move towards aliveness and vibrant health.

Background and Experience

I started my counselling work in 1999 in the UK, moving to NZ in 2000. I have worked as a school counsellor at Whanganui High School and Whanganui City College, and also a tertiary education counsellor at Whanganui UCOL.

I worked as a trauma therapist at Whanganui Safe and Free (community Agency) for 6 years, alongside my small private practice. I have significantly expanded my private practice in 2018. I co- facilitated a therapeutic group for mothers at Jigsaw Whanganui from 2004-2021, and supervised other facilitators
