I provide short and long-term therapy for both adults and young adults who are looking to overcome difficulties in their lives, discover new insights into themselves and their experiences, and allow for growth and self-discovery. I believe in people’s ability to heal from past trauma and take back their lives with resilience and self-compassion.
My approach to therapy is rooted in compassion, collaboration, and trust. I believe that therapy is a partnership between the therapist and the client, where you can explore what’s going on for you without judgment and with new insights that allow you to try new ways of being in the world. I provide a safe and supportive environment where people can feel heard, understood, and empowered to be who they truly are.
It is humbling to see the incredible change that occurs when clients overcome difficult challenges, emerging stronger and more resilient on the other side. For those interested in using creative processes in their therapy, I’ve found that art and creative expression can be vehicles for a transformative therapeutic experience.
Background and Experience
I’ve had extensive experience in New Zealand and overseas, working with a diverse range of clients in different environments and life-stages. This has included providing support in boarding schools with at risk youth, years of working with sexual assault survivors through ACC, and working with adults and young people in private practice as well as within therapeutic organizations.
