Dave is passionate about creating a safe space where people can step back, examine their world and live more fulfilled lives. He provides unwavering support and identifies the essential skills to help people achieve their goals. With 20 years of professional counselling experience, including eight years as a practice manager in social services, Dave brings a wealth of skills to his work. He takes great pride in guiding individuals and families towards building secure, meaningful, and nurturing relationships.

Counselling/Therapy Approach

Counselling involves regular sessions. The duration and frequency depend on the nature of the problem and individual needs. Generally, he meets clients weekly for one-hour appointments. He adapts his service to the client’s needs.

Supervision Services

Dave is thoughtful, compassionate, respectfully critical when required, encouraging and offers confidence in one’s ability. His goal is to nurture supervisees’ personal and professional development growth. With experience including eight years as a Practice Manager in a family violence organisation and many more as a team leader, he brings warmth and compassion for the work’s challenges and ethical dilemmas and works to support growth and development.

Couples Therapy

He provides couples therapy. Preferably, starting with individual sessions, hearing each person’s needs before meeting. He works to restore relationships to a healthy place.

Background and Experience

Over the last 19 years, Dave has worked as a counsellor and group facilitator. This has included working with many adult men, children and teenagers (ages 8 to 18), and their parents. All this work is to grow healthier, safer, happier lives.

- Dave received a Diploma in Counselling in 2006.
- He has two prior degrees, one in Computer Science and another in Business.

- Dave currently has space on Mondays and Tuesdays.
