As a counsellor, I work with adolescents and athletes, supporting them through their mental health journey. This includes athlete mentoring and mental skills training.
I understand the pressures, challenges, and successes that come with sports, both on and off the field. Having spent over 20 years’ working in sports, I trained to become a qualified counsellor, specifically dedicated to supporting adolescents, athletes and coaches in their well-being journey.
My experience:
I offer individual and group counselling, athlete mentoring, and mental skills training, creating a safe space for open dialogue and growth.
I focus on person-centred counselling, which is about making you feel safe and supported. Through empathetic listening, I work with my clients to set the pace and focus on moving forward toward the achievement of their goals.
I work primarily with adolescents through to young adults, any culture and background.
I’m trained in a range of psychological modalities, such as CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy), narrative therapy and solution-focused therapy and ACT (Acceptance & Commitment Therapy).
