Research shows that psychotherapy can not only help people make changes to long-standing difficulties, and not only that these changes are lasting, but also that the positive effects continue to develop after the series of appointments has come to an end.
…psychotherapy may provide the answers and the changes you’re looking for.
I offer a place where— with no judgement and fully welcomed as you are— you can get help with understanding what’s going on, how things came to be this way, and what may need to change for you to have the life you want. Through a series of sessions you can find healing of the past, transformation for your future, and a new way of experiencing yourself, others, and your daily life now. The sessions can also help you use these inner changes to make your everyday activities, lifestyle and relationships with others more satisfying.
I’ve done a number of different trainings, and this will help with finding a way of doing things that is right for you. We can use how things are now as our starting point, then find out how you want things to be, and what is getting in the way of this. Together through a guided discussion, and some techniques where we agree this would be helpful, you may find out there are past experiences to be healed, or inner blocks to let go of, or capacities to develop— and how to go about this. And we would include practical ways to apply what you’re discovering to your everyday life.
If you’re curious to find out what this might mean for you, you’d be welcome to flick me an email: [email protected]. Then we could meet for half an hour: that way you can find out whether what’s available with me would be right for you. After this, if you decide to give it a go, there would be a few questionnaires to complete, followed by a series of weekly in-person appointments in Wellington. The appointments would focus on any difficulties you have selected and on aims we have agreed together.
I have worked with people therapeutically for over fifteen years, helping them find solutions to personal difficulties. More recently I have also been running trainings for psychologists, counsellors and coaches. For many years I was registered with the New Zealand Association of Counsellors (NZAC) and was an accredited member of British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). These days, as a Registered Psychotherapist with Psychotherapists Board of Aotearoa New Zealand (PBANZ), I work with people to create personal transformation at a deeper level, healing from their past experiences and making changes to long-standing patterns of thinking, feeling, behaviour and relating.
I enjoy meeting a wide variety of people, and using a contemporary form of psychotherapy alongside other healing tools to guide their inner journeys. To find out more, just flick me an email: [email protected]
