Psychotherapy is a journey of self-discovery. I offer a safe space to find a deeper understanding of who you are. I see Psychotherapy as a way to move forward and make positive change by bringing to awareness the different ways you operate in your relationships and in the world around you.
I am passionate about psychotherapy and have watched many clients make profound changes as we create a safe space to explore issues in an environment where they can feel free to express themselves as they are without judgement.
Because we are all different, I believe that Psychotherapy is about creating a holistic space to positively benefit each individual in the best way possible. I therefore draw on a range of theories and techniques to inform my practice with each client to help support individuals to make positive life changes.
I offer both short term and long term psychotherapy to adolescents and adults who are struggling to move forward, are feeling stuck, or facing difficulties in their lives.
I provide a safe, honest and confidential space to explore deeper issues and to begin to make sense of why you may repeat patterns of behaviour, think and feel the way you do.
I receive regular and ongoing supervision to maintain best practice for my work.
I have been involved in several NGO’s for the past 15 years including Youthline, Lifeline and Kauri Trust where I have taken on various roles within the community as a Youth Worker, Psychotherapist, Group Facilitator, Drug and Alcohol Practitioner and Phone Counsellor. I have worked in various schools and universities as a student counsellor supporting young people and students. I gained a wealth of experience at Waitakere Abuse and Trauma Counselling Service where I worked as a student Psychotherapist alongside survivors of sexual abuse and domestic violence. I now work primarily in private practice as a Psychotherapist and can offer both face to face and on line therapy.
