Being flexible in the way that we think and being open to change is essential for developing and strengthening positive psychological wellbeing. Being psychologically fit is the foundation of a vital life.
Therapy involves understanding your unique context and what factors have led you here. Together we establish your strengths, what is important to you, and the areas of your life you need support within.
This could be about life goals, relationships with yourself and/or others, or simply helping you to gain a better understanding of your thoughts, behaviours and feelings to strengthen and cultivate psychological flexibility and fitness.
Therapy is a collaborative process that you are actively engaged in, learning new skills that can bolster your resilience in the face of life’s challenges and support your ability to enact positive change.
I provide therapy services using third wave behavioural therapies based on Contextual Behaviour Sciences such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, Behaviour Activation, Social Skills Training, Graduated Exposure, Habit Reversal, Motivational Interviewing and Organisational Behaviour Management. I may integrate technology where appropriate to support clients with the change process. The approach is tailored to each client ensuring that the support provided is evidence-based and effective. Using your values and motivation you are supported to understand your difficulties and strengths within your unique context. Together we will map out the steps that move you towards a more meaningful and vital life.
