Q What is Somatic Therapy?

Somatic therapy is a type of psychotherapy that focuses on the connection between the body and mind. It acknowledges that emotional and psychological trauma can be stored in the body, often showing up as physical tension or discomfort. Using techniques such as breathwork, movement, touch, and mindfulness, somatic therapy helps individuals become more aware of their bodily sensations and release trapped emotions. The aim is to heal trauma, reduce stress, and promote overall well-being by integrating both mental and physical processes.
