I am a counsellor and trauma therapist, specialised in including the body in therapeutic work.
My Bachelor of Counselling has given me a strong foundation in a variety of counselling approaches.
Since then, I have continued my studies in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy.
Insights from neuroscience have shown how important it is to listen to and work with the body, when we are dealing with challenges like trauma, anxiety and depression. Together, we can find safe ways to access the wisdom of the body, which will lead to healing and insights much deeper than just using our thinking mind.
Please refer to my website for further information about me, my approach, and my contact details. I am very happy to meet for an initial online free of charge meet-and-greet, to check out if and how I can support you.
Appointments & fees
On Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays only in Wadestown, Wellington and online.

About me
Before becoming a counsellor I had a previous career of 30+ years in management consulting and human resources. Besides my in-depth training I bring a wealth of life experience, which includes being a business coach and a volunteer supporting traumatised people. Alongside my private practice I work as counsellor for a charity supporting trauma survivors.
Buddhist practice is a major inspiration in my life. I am a teacher in the Western Insight Meditation tradition, and in my spare time I lead a local meditation group.
My husband and I moved to New Zealand in 2007 from the Netherlands and have since called Wellington home. Together with our Siamese cat we live in beautiful Wadestown, Wellington.
