I am a qualified counsellor who offers a warm and comforting space where diversity is respected and encouraged. Here clients can express, discover, and explore their authentic thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgement. From here we can begin to gently challenge unhelpful beliefs and focus on self-empowerment, self-compassion, self-worth, and self love, leading to a more fulfilling and happy life.
My approach is holistic and considers the many different aspects that contribute to a persons well-being. My clients are experts in their lives and I trust they hold the answers, however I have the privileged role in supporting them find those answers. I draw from different approaches depending on the challenges or presenting issues. With my focus on the client I work from a trauma informed lens drawing from Solution Focussed Brief Therapy (SFBT), Somatic Experiencing, Narrative Therapy, Dialectal Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
When I’m not in the counselling room you’ll find me reviving worn-out furniture, basking in the sun, or sharing adventures with my friends/family/partner and lovely dog Maple. I have a holistic approach to well-being and value upholding this within myself so I am able to be present and connect with the wonderful people I meet.
