Since qualifying as a counsellor in 2010, I have been employed in various counselling roles before moving into private practice. I enjoy working with youth (12+), adults, and groups.
I particularly enjoy working with micro or small business owners (fewer than 20 FTE employees), and those employed in ‘hands-on’ industries such as trade and construction, agriculture, horticulture, forestry, transport, etc.
I’m also available for mental wellbeing toolbox talks and presentations – in person and online.
I believe in focusing on what is ‘right’ with a person rather than what is ‘wrong’. My therapeutic practice includes strengths-based methods such as Positive Psychology, CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), NLP (neurolinguistic programming), and Solution Focused therapy. I enjoy supporting clients to find strategies to enhance their resilience and wellbeing which in turn promotes better mental health outcomes.
I have been a full member of New Zealand Association of Counsellors (NZAC) since 2016 and hold a current practicing certificate.
