Kia ora,

I am a psychologist with over 20 years experience in the field. I enjoy working in a holistic way to empower you to feel better and develop skills in order to thrive. 

Experience

I am a trained health psychologist and have experience in many areas of psychology.

I specialise in working with a range of issues including anxiety, ADHD, obsessive compulsive disorder, body dysmorphia, social anxiety, LGBTQI+, mood issues, stress and burnout, adjustment, mood and grief.

I have worked primarily in the health sector and specialise in psychological support of people with cancer, having worked and managed services at The Cancer Society, Te Whatu Ora, Canopy Cancer Care and Canteen. I also have extensive experience with coping with chronic and acute illnesses such as diabetes and cardiology.

My Approach

I work together with you to gain insight into current challenges and then to develop a plan to move towards emotional wellbeing. I am trained in Acceptance and Commitment, Cognitive Behavioural, Dialectical Behavioural, Mindfulness therapies and person centered counselling.

I am a supportive and empathetic therapist who creates a safe space for you to explore and develop skills towards effective coping.
