Counselling/Therapy Services

It can be hard to know how things could be different when we’re not feeling so good. I am passionate about psychodynamic psychotherapy as it builds on the idea that many of our current problems are the result of events from our past, especially from our early relationships. By exploring the past with an attitude of kind curiosity, we can increase our understanding of the issues confronting us in the present time. We can bring more awareness to how we contribute unknowingly to repeating patterns. This allows us to create more space to respond, and ability to change what once seemed cemented and stuck. With this new awareness comes possibilities for a more genuine and authentic relationship with ourselves and others.

Counselling/Therapy Approach

Psychotherapy is about change, and especially psychodynamic psychotherapy as with time it gets to the core of issues, and through processing the unconscious allows greater understanding, insight and growth, and generally feeling more empowered.

Background and Experience

I have 16 years experience as a crisis counsellor and 2 years working with high risk youth at Youth Horizon Trust. I also have experience working in mental health (acute and chronic presentations), also worked 2 years at CADS drug and addiction services. Along this these non profit agencies I have also had my private practice.
