Monique Nyemecz

I am a warm, engaging therapist who works in a collaborative and straightforward manner. I offer a safe, supportive and non-judgmental space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences.

My goal is to help people develop a wider range of emotional experiences and find relief from symptoms, conflicts and difficulties, including anxiety, panic, depression, relationships, grief, loss, trauma and PTSD.  I also help people heal relationship problems such as infidelity, conflict and anger.   

I have extensive experience working with adults and couples over a wide range of issues in private practice and I have also worked within organisations providing specialised support for survivors of trauma and abuse and compassionate end-of-life care.

My professional background extends to healthcare settings and human resource management within a large international corporation.

Specialised academic and clinical training underpins my practice, together with ongoing professional development, supervision and extensive work experience.

I believe in an integrative approach tailored to your needs and preferences, that include depth psychotherapeutic approaches from psychodynamic, object relations, somatic, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, humanistic to existential therapy.

The experience of undergoing my own therapy and working therapeutically with people for many years, continues to validate the transformative power of inner work as a way to create a meaningful life.

I offer both brief solution-focused therapy and longer-term in-depth psychotherapy.
