In my 20 years of experience I realise, recipes never work. The relationship between my clients and I, is the most powerful tool. Different techniques and strategies are derived from different schools of thought and therapy is tailor made to fit my client. I am nosey, open minded and love my work.

At heart I am a believer in the strengths of my clients. There is nothing more exhilarating than discovering the core of the problem. I am the expert in theory and experience but I see my clients as the experts in their lives, together we make a great team.

I also believe that life style influences the symptom greatly. The way you identify with the life around you and the way you portray yourself influences the self concept.

Relationships bring healing as it confronts the self with issues that slumber in a un-reflected life. In our therapeutic relationship we challenge, theorise and experiment with life. The problem is externalised and analysed in order to understand and manipulate it.

Counselling/Therapy Approach

I am a systems and strategic therapist. I study my client’s behaviour and experiences as part of their different system. Systems therapy uses the techniques in order to narrate a different outcome for the client.

Background and Experience

I am a Clinical Psychologist. I have been in private practice for the past 20 years. I appreciate the self driven, reflective client. My training was in psychiatric hospitals. I am also a qualified Social Worker

I prefer to learn in supervision and not guide at this stage.
