Ngairini O’Kell

Counsellor

Welcome. Kia ora, Haere mai.

I work with many age groups, from toddlers to elders, on a large variety of issues. You are welcome to see me as an individual, couple, or family.

I am experienced, qualified & registered. I am kind, empathetic, non judgmental, fair, affordable & easy to get along with. I have life experience, theoretical and practical knowledge that will give you the results you need.

A general overview of therapy is that, I will build a relationship with you, look at the presenting problem, the causes and effects, the roots of it, and goals of counselling. Then I will be more informed to offer interventions and strategies that will bring about the best success/change/management of the issue for your life to become what you need it to be.

My Therapy/Comfort/Companion dog Stanley joins us. He is gentle and calm. He will be available for pats while you talk with me or do Art therapy work. He will mostly sleep!

Fair pricing. Quiet, peaceful, safe environment. Online and phone counselling available.

Please enquire today with the free 15 minute consultation to see if we can work together.

Q Reviews

"I was able to offload and clarify my thoughts, feelings and process going on in my head and heart. I found my assertiveness and communication skills to work with people and issues in my life whereas before they were all beneath the surface as resentments, causing me depression, anxiety and relationship blocks. Thanks Ngairini for encouraging me to be proactive in my life choices and friendships as I have had positive outcomes and now feel I know myself better and can handle life more overall."M.G.Brooklyn.

"Beautiful, warm lady, Ngairini. My children & I were v. comfortable & felt welcomed & not judged; Stanley was v good support." L.N. Porirua.

"My son had apprehension before the first session but he & I found Ngairini easy to get along with, talk to & achieved our desired results."M.S. Otaki.

"Ngairini has been a strong support during 2024 for myself. She has helped me work through many issues. I really don't know if I would be able to cope at all if I hadn't come to her. I am back to work, exercising & finding enjoyment in things in life whereas before I was in a dark hole. Mihi nui Ngairini.' Mel. Newtown.

"I've had four sessions and I'm becoming myself again". B.M. Wainui.

"When my 9 year old son leaves counselling with Ngairini he is more carefree and relaxed. It really takes a load off. He has opened up to me more and most importantly, the issues that brought us to counselling have stopped so it has been really useful. It has been a huge improvement, he is more in touch with his emotions, also better behaved and more respectful." Fran. Berhampmore.

"It is clear that Ngairini cares deeply for her clients. She provides a safe and warm environment, that allows for them to face into, and work through, life's challenges and difficulties. I would recommend her for anyone wanting to start the healing journey."
