Specialised in clinical care, Renata has extensive practice with complex cases, including anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma issues. She has worked in public health and private practice in Brazil and NZ and was responsible for carrying out mental health services and managing clinical teams. Currently, she works at her private practice in Wellington.
Renata is a Provisional Member of the NZAC and Member of the Centre for Lacanian Analysis in NZ. She has a Master’s in Social and Institutional Psychology (recognised level 9 NZQA), Specialisation in Clinical Care, and Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (recognised level 7 NZQA).
Renata works under the psychoanalytical approach, a modality of talking cure that explores conscious and unconscious aspects of the psychological structure to access the cause of someone’s suffering. The idea is to understand why someone continues to experience the same challenges and support them to move to a better position in life.
Renata provides counselling in English, Portuguese, and Spanish.
