Seeking counselling is a big step. Often, talking to someone outside of your circle of friends or family can assist you through difficult times. I am here to help, happy to hear from you.
I am registered member with NZAC for counselling. I explore existential issues or issues of meaning making. I work with depression, confusion, stress management and many other areas.
Many people think my line of work is like magic! People talk to me for few sessions and all the problems seems to go away. In fact, it might feel that way for a client, imagine letting go of the weight and stress you have been holding up. It may feel quite a relief to do so, but this might be temporary.
Often our fear is about feeling alone in the process, as well as about going into what is unknown. Through guided, support and an encouraging relationship, I help you to understand your potential, and from there, step away from the old patterns that are no longer working for you.
I am trained in the Psychosynthesis approach, it means I don’t see any symptoms as bad and trying to get rid of it, instead I look at it in a more systemic view. I look at the entire individual as a whole (body, mind, feeling) in their life’s experience. I provide a safe and confidential space for client to explore and making choices to difficulties and opportunities.
I provide both short term and long-term counselling depending on what my client wish to get out of counselling. Clients who work with me shared they find meeting with me comfortable and safe.
I am committed to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
