I have been working in the counselling and addictions field for close to 20 years.
With a solutions-focussed approach, I offer compassionate support and practical tools to guide you on your journey to change.
Whether you want to gain insight, obtain clarity, build resilience, develop healthier coping mechanisms or address emotional pain, I practice with skill, sound acumen and zero judgement.
I am a great communicator – but an even better listener. Wherever you are at, and wherever you want to go, I will meet you with a personalised approach that respects your individual experience.
I am formally trained in multiple evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
In practice, this means I am able to integrate what the science tells us about human functioning in a way that has real-world and personal practicality.
I endeavor to bring all aspects of wellbeing into focus – body, mind and spirit. While definitions of spirituality vary, and are very unique to each individual, recent studies illustrate that this concept can have significant effects on mental health, self-awareness and personal growth.
I undertake regular clinical supervision and ongoing training, and operate in accordance with a registered code of ethics as well as all competency and privacy legislation.
