What happens when people open their hearts?
They get better.

Areas of Special Interest

With over 25 years of experience, I have worked with individuals facing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, self-esteem struggles, family conflict, grief and loss, self-defeating patterns, and the process of coming to terms with difficult or traumatic life experiences. My focus is on helping clients navigate these challenges with greater self-awareness, resilience, and the ability to create meaningful change.

Counselling/Therapy Services

Life can be difficult at times, and everyone encounters struggles along the way. Reaching out for support is not a sign of weakness but of courage and hope. Together, we can explore what is weighing on you and find a way forward.

I offer a compassionate and accepting space where you can talk openly about what is troubling you. Our work is a collaborative process—we will explore feelings of sadness, fear, or uncertainty, and get curious about the anxieties and stresses that may be shaping your experience. Through this shared exploration, we will create a path towards growth, insight, and healing.

Therapy is a transformative process. It is an opportunity to make sense of your inner world, to discover new perspectives, and to develop a deeper understanding of yourself. I would be honoured to be part of your journey.

Counselling/Therapy Approach

My practice is grounded in psychodynamic and Jungian traditions, though I am not bound to any single approach. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all—our work together will be shaped by your unique needs, the questions you bring, and the dynamic that unfolds between us.

I work relationally, believing that authentic and meaningful relationships are central to emotional well-being. Our therapeutic relationship becomes a space to reflect on how you engage with the world, how you have learned to protect yourself, and where new possibilities for growth may emerge.

I offer both short-term and long-term psychotherapy depending on your needs. You may be looking for a few sessions to gain clarity on a specific concern, or you may wish to embark on longer-term therapy to better understand yourself and create lasting change.

Background and Experience

I have been in private practice for over 25 years and bring both professional expertise and a personal understanding of the struggles of identity, parenting, and relationships.

I grew up in Denmark, where I completed my first degree, and later moved to New Zealand in my late 20s to study psychotherapy. Having lived in seven different countries, I bring a broad cultural perspective to my work and an appreciation of the ways in which identity, belonging, and adaptation shape our inner lives.

I have three children—two biological and one adopted from overseas. Our family also includes two therapy dogs, a golden retriever and a shih-tzu/poodle cross, both of whom are exceptionally calm and intuitive. If desired, they are available to join sessions, offering a warm and grounding presence.
