Sue Parr

Counsellor

I offer counselling for both work and personal challenges. Challenging work situations are one of my specialities. We work together to explore your concerns and design strategies that will help you with experiencing redundancy, career transitions, job loss and uncertainty, workplace issues, organisational change, stress and burnout and retirement. I also counsel in life areas that include anxiety, self-esteem, grief and loss, emotional regulation, guilt, shame, identity, and social stressors, as well as relationship, friendship, and family issues.

About Me

I work in the Birkenhead area in Auckland in-person and online.

I am a warm, empathetic and open-minded counsellor offering you a safe space to explore your concerns. We discuss the type of counselling that suits you best and work together at your pace. I primarily work in private practice with adults and teenagers.

I have had an extensive management career and have a Masters in Organisational Psychology. I have worked with many clients experiencing challenging work exits including redundancy situations.  Additionally, I work as a Career Practitioner and have Professional Membership with the Career Development Association of New Zealand.

I am registered with the New Zealand Association of Counsellors and abide by their Code of Ethics (see their website for more information).

For more information do look at my website. Please feel free to get in contact.  I look forward to hearing from you.
